How does an order work?

Five steps: (1) you describe your project via the contact form or WhatsApp; (2) our studio designs one visual proposal within 48 hours, free of charge; (3) you approve the colours, material and size — firm quote; (4) made in France (with a few steps via partner workshops depending on technique), 3 to 4 weeks, QC before shipping; (5) tracked shipping worldwide, overseas operations (OPEX) included.

How much does an artwork proof cost?

Accepted Answer

The artwork proof (BAT — a faithful visual proof) is free with every quote. No commitment on your part before approval. You receive the proposal as a PDF with an accurate preview of the final material.

Is the quote free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — completely free and with no commitment. Our quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued.

Question 4

How long does it take to get a quote?

Accepted Answer

Within one business day at most. For simple projects, often within half a day. Urgent requests (a rush before a ceremony) are handled as a priority — just mention it in your message.

Question 5

What is the MOQ (minimum order quantity)?

Standard MOQ: 100 pieces per item. One exception: leather name tapes have a 50-piece minimum, to match the real size of a squadron aircrew.

Why is the MOQ so high?

Each item requires a dedicated mould (3D PVC, coins), a woven file or an engraving plate specific to your design. A minimum volume is needed to spread these fixed costs and keep the unit price low.

Can I order a single piece?

No, we don't produce one-off pieces — except for the artwork proof / validation prototype, which is included in the quote. If you only need a single patch, get in touch: we can point you towards craftspeople better suited to that.

Does ordering more bring the price down?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a sliding price scale across 5 tiers (100 / 200 / 300 / 500 / 1,000 pcs). The saving can reach 15% between the 100-piece tier and the 1,000-piece tier. The full scale is shown on every product page in the catalogue.

Question 9

What is the BAT (artwork proof)?

The BAT (Bon À Tirer) is the visual proof of your project, faithfully simulated with the chosen production technique. You receive it as a PDF before final approval. No production is started without a signed-off proof.

Question 10

How many revisions to the artwork proof?

Accepted Answer

Unlimited revisions during the proof stage. As long as you haven't approved it, we keep adjusting. Once the proof is signed off and production has started, no further changes are possible.

Question 11

How many colours are possible?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the technique: woven up to 8 colours, embroidery up to 5 colours, moulded PVC up to 8 Pantone colours, sublimation and digital print = unlimited. Details for each product are in the catalogue.

Can I supply my own logo?

Accepted Answer

Of course — that's the usual starting point. Ideally in a vector format (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg). If you only have a JPG or a photo, our studio redraws it as a vector — a service included with the artwork proof.

Can you create a design from scratch?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on a dedicated quote. Our studio can create a squadron crest, a unit logo or a commemorative design from a simple verbal brief. Pricing is tailored to the complexity of the work.

What is the production lead time?

Accepted Answer

3 to 4 weeks after the artwork proof is approved and payment is received. A few techniques (leather, enamel metal) can take slightly longer on large runs. The exact lead time is stated on the quote.

Where do you ship to?

Accepted Answer

Worldwide — France, the European Union, outside the EU, and OPEX (overseas operations, military theatres). Shipping is free within mainland France. For the EU, outside the EU and OPEX, the carrier and costs are stated on the quote according to the destination.

How am I notified of shipping?

Accepted Answer

As soon as your parcel leaves the workshop, you receive an automatic WhatsApp message with the tracking number and the carrier's tracking link. You can follow the delivery in real time.

Can I collect the order in person?

Accepted Answer

Yes, by appointment at the workshop (Vaucluse). This is a good option for urgent orders or for designs you'd like to check in person before they ship.

What should I do if my parcel arrives damaged?

Note a formal reservation with the carrier on the spot (sign with the wording "subject to the condition of the contents") and report the issue to us within 3 days with photos. We handle the claim with the carrier.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

SEPA bank transfer (bank details supplied with the quote), card payment via a secure Stripe link, and administrative payment order (mandat administratif) for public-sector and military clients. We do not accept cash or cheques.

Is a deposit required?

Accepted Answer

Payment is made in full at the time of order. Production starts as soon as payment is received and the artwork proof is approved. No separate deposit and balance — less paperwork, simpler all round.

Question 21

Can I get a 0% VAT invoice?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in three cases: (1) DETAM — military tax exemption on operations (art. 293 B of the French Tax Code); (2) intra-EU B2B sale with a valid EU VAT number (reverse charge, art. 262 ter); (3) export outside the EU (art. 262.I). Mention it when ordering — supporting documents will be requested.

Can I pay via an administrative payment order?

Yes — this is standard for military and public-sector orders. We provide bank details, a quote with the payment-order reference, and a production lead time aligned with your payment schedule.

What if the product doesn't match the artwork proof?

Accepted Answer

Report the non-conformity within 7 days of delivery, with photos. We will rework, remake or refund the non-conforming pieces at our discretion. Usual tolerances (≤ 3% on dimensions, slight variations in shade) do not count as a non-conformity.

What warranty do the products carry?

Accepted Answer

A warranty of conformity to the approved artwork proof. For manufacturing defects, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Product lifespan varies: 3D PVC and metal coins = 10+ years, woven and embroidered patches = 5+ years under normal use.

Question 25

Do you keep our squadron designs confidential?

Accepted Answer

Yes, by default — and it's at the heart of how we work. Military squadron designs are never published (social media, website, communications) without the explicit approval of the command. We keep no stock after delivery, never resell surplus to third parties, and a completed order means production closed: files, moulds and dies stay dedicated to your unit alone. Designs intended for the general public may be used as commercial references, unless you object.

How can I cancel my order?

Custom-made products are not covered by the right of withdrawal (art. L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code). The approved artwork proof constitutes your final commitment. Before the proof is approved, you can cancel at no cost.
